We create on-set interviews with key cast and crew, work hand-in-hand with the set photographer for iconic imagery, cast photoshoots and set stills, direct behind-the-scenes footage, facilitate press set visits, and prepare for the next step in the project’s lifecycle.

SMPR works as strategic festival publicists for your film at A-list, mid-tier, and specialty festivals. We serve as your press agent, festival team liaison and overall event coordinator. We prioritize national and international coverage, trade and genre reviews, as well as domestic press attention and social media outreach. We work directly with the film team, sales agents, and distributors.

SMPR is able to develop and execute a PR campaign to support any size theatrical release, from single market limited runs to regional screenings to wider national releases. We handle every element of the campaign from theater liaison (one-sheet and trailer deliverables) to traditional media and new media outreach to tastemaker screenings and grass roots/word of mouth campaigns.

With strong ties to traditional and online media, SMPR connects films with key journalists and media for maximum results in support of Blu-ray, DVD and VOD, streaming releases.  We particularly excel when championing new voices directly to audiences in their homes.

For select foreign films, we create and execute award campaigns for IDA, Film Independent Spirit Awards, and the Oscars®. We can also create and coordinate intimate Word of Mouth screenings/receptions for media outlets and awards voters, and work with print publications, non-theatrical & specialty venues, radio stations, film classes, and  film festivals to schedule opinion and tastemaker screenings.
